Kay J Fraser - General Manager

Kay J Fraser is the General Manager and has been at The Murray Hotel since June 2012 when she came to us from New Zealand. Kay has 30 years of hotel & hospitality management experience. She has Certificate IV in Hospitality and Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and is continually educating herself in tourism and hospitality. She likes visiting Fremantle on her days off, cooking for family & friends, international travel and cultural exchange. |
Traoine de Geest - Duty Manager

Traoine de Geest has been working at The Murray Hotel Perth since 2007. Traoine grew up in England and when travelling spent time in New Zealand where she met her Kiwi husband Jake. Traoine was The Murray Hotel General Manager from 2007 to 2012. Traoine had her first daughter Saoirse in 2012 and her second daughter Aroha in 2014. |
Kirsten Mannion - Assistant Manager

Kirsten has been at the Murray Hotel since 2011. Kirsten previous worked in corporate hospitality, customer relations and administration enabling her to bring a strong commitment to great service for our hotel guests. Kirsten grew up in Perth and lives nearby with her husband and five children. |
Jana Varinska - Duty Manager & Bookkeeper

Jana has been at The Murray Hotel since 2011 working first as a Restaurant Bar Kitchen Attendant and then becoming a Receptionist and Duty Manager. Jana has an Associate Degree in Business and lives in Perth with her partner Jiri. She loves travelling, dancing, latin music and baking. |
Eva Lai - Duty Manager

Eva has been working at the Murray Hotel since 2011. Eva grew up in Taiwan and moved to Perth in 2009 and lives nearby with her partner Tim. Eva has a Degree in Social Work and also works as a travel agent. |
Criztine McAleer - Duty Manager

Criztine started working at the Murray Hotel in October 2013 first as a Housekeeper then as a Restaurant Bar Kitchen Attendant and is now a Receptionist & Duty Manager. Criztine has a Diploma of Hotel and Restaurant Management from the Philippines and a Certificate 3 in Business Studies from Perth. Criztine likes cooking, reading and fishing. |
Katie Kadlcakova - Duty Manager

Katie was born in the Czech Republic where she worked in a radio as an editor and a speaker. Katie also had her own business – a small store with healthy and organic food. She came to Australia with her husband Martin in August 2014 and absolutely fell in love with this beautiful country. She likes sport and fitness and has been studying Certificate IV. Her other hobbies are reading books, travelling and Aussie BBQ and beaches. |
Justyna Humphries - on maternity leave from April 2014

Justyna worked at The Murray Hotel from August 2007 as Duty Manager until she had her baby boy Alexander in 2011. Justyna returned in June 2013 until she had her second son Zakary in 2014. Justyna is from Poland, has a Degree in Hospitality and is married to local businessman Phil who is the hotel electrician. |
Catherine Ortuondo - Housekeeper

Catherine has been working at the Murray Hotel since 2010. Catherine lived in the Philipines until she met her Australian husband and relocated to Perth. She enjoys cooking and cleaning; even on her time off! |
Marta Mulay - Breakfast Attendant & Housekeeper & Restaurant Bar Kitchen Attendant

Marta has been working at the Murray Hotel since 2011 when she moved here from Sudan. Marta goes for daily runs, plays football and enjoys doing Hip Hop Dancing. Marta wants to be a hairdresser and is doing study to achieve her dream. |
Rose Ojaba - on maternity leave from Sept 2013

Rose worked at the Murray Hotel in 2007 & 2008 as a Housekeeper and then returned in 2011 to work as a Restaurant Bar Kitchen Attendant. Rose has a Certificate IV in Hospitality and other qualifications in Aged Care. Rose lives nearby with her two sons and beautiful baby daughter. |
Kanlaya Satachon - Housekeeper

Kanlaya has been working at the Murray Hotel since March 2013. Kanlaya came to Perth in 2004 from Udonthani in North East Thailand and is engaged to Gavin. Her hobbies include shopping, travelling and partying. |
Zachary Rodgers - Restaurant Bar Kitchen Attendant

Zack has been working at the Murray Hotel since September 2013. He comes to us from New Zealand and yes he is related to our GM! Zack loves going to Fremantle and has itchy feet so is busy working hard to continue his travels. |
Megan Kinang - Bookkeeper

Megan Kinang has been the Bookkeeper at The Murray Hotel since 2007. Due to the wonders of technology Megan works from her home office. Megan lives with her partner Karl and two children in the Perth foothills. Megan's present passion is Roller Derby. |
Olivia Harris - Trainee

Olivia was born in 2005 and has been "helping" at the Murray Hotel since she was one. During the school holidays Olivia cleans the rooms and the dining room and does other jobs. Olivia wants to work on the front desk so when she can see over the counter, spell and count she will be allowed to train as a receptionist! |
Kate Sinfield and Mark Harris - Owners

Kate Sinfield and Mark Harris purchased The Murray Hotel Perth in August 2007. Kate grew up in England and came to Australia in 1986 as a backpacker. Kate has 35 years of hotel management experience, a Bachelor Degree in Business, Major in Accounting and is a CPA. Mark was born in Fremantle, WA and started his hospitality career in 2010 after finishing 30 years as an Air Traffic Controller. Kate & Mark have three children between them; Ashleigh, Gemma & Olivia. |
