Kate Sinfield - The Murray Hotel Owner/Operator

Kate Sinfield and Mark Harris purchased The Murray Hotel Perth in August 2007. Kate grew up in England where she like to beat her brother at Monopoly. She starting work in hotels for Trust House Forte when she was 14 before arriving in Australia in 1986 as a backpacker. After managing hotels in Sydney, Thredbo and Canberra, Kate came to Perth in 1997 where she completed a Bachelor Degree in Business, Major in Accounting at Edith Cowan University continuing on to become a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA). Kate's love of monopoly continued but this time with real properties so by 2007 she had 10 houses which she then "swapped" for a hotel! Kate's philosophy is based around "working holiday" the name of her first Australian visa. "May life be a mix of work and holiday, may there be lots of both and may they blend so work is as much fun as a holiday".
